Foster is a perfect book, small only in length. How Keegan is able to weave such emotionally dense stories in so few words is truly masterful. I read Small Things Like These earlier this year, and now this beautiful little book, and I am truly in awe of Claire Keegan.

I adored this sad, tender, unsettling, gorgeously-written book. The sense of place captured is incredible, and the story is the quiet sort that creeps up on you without you quite realising it. My heart will forever ache for our protagonist and everything she's going to miss out on. A truly clever and extremely special book.
