There are few words that would accurately describe how moving this book was.
I fell in love with Molly and Aidan, almost immediately.
A story of two young souls finding their way to each other after enduring trauma and tragedy as small children, theirs is a love that is a balm to their souls.
I could literally sense the ache the characters felt for one another. All the time spent apart, all the misunderstandings and angst was painful to read. It will gut you!
Having a MMC who doesn't speak had to be extremely challenging, but Dyan pulled it off without a hitch.
This story is sweet and sexy. Less taboo than one would suspect, and completely endearing from beginning to end.

I skimmed most of this it was so infuriating. I loathe books were the virgin heroine is of course celibate and pining away for the guy who fucks anything that walks. Loathe them. It takes a well written book using this trope to make me like it. That is not this book - plot wise or character wise.

This book hooked me right away. I felt every single emotion with this book. My heart strings pulled with happiness and sadness and at times I caught myself holding my breath. Absolutely loved this book and need more of them!

Don’t Speak is a beautiful love story of stolen moments and love surviving through time despite the odds. Dyan Layne is an absolute master at creating characters that jump from the pages and take a piece of your heart and that that is true again in this novel of heartbreak, suspense and fate.
Don’t Speak is a taboo stepsibling romance of Aiden and his Molly Cat who from when they first met were destined to be together. Aiden is still carrying trauma from the murder of his mother and for the first time he finds someone who understands him. The story flows from the blush of young love and discovery, to teen angst and then to a point where they both reach adulthood but like the course of all love stories there is drama and suspense for the main characters the tackle along the way. This story walks the line of the uncomfortable at times as the parents do marry when their children were both younger but the author managed the storyline in a way that was realistic and sensitive making the connection between Aiden and Molly authentic and non-familial from the start.
Don’t Speak is a taboo romance filled with equal measures of suspense drama, sweetness and light. Aiden and Molly Cat’s story will capture your heart and make you believe in happily ever afters.

I must first make a point to say that the number of books I’ve read, not told in first person pov, is almost nonexistent. I have always struggled with connecting with books/characters when told from another pov. However, I went into this with an open mind. & I am pleased to say that I not only finished, but loved it.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. And I was very intrigued with all the bits and pieces thrown into this plot. And I truly think that going in blind is the best step.
I love the stepbrother trope, so I was very excited to read about Aidan and Molly. & they were everything I’d hoped for and more. From beginning to end, Aidan and Molly share such a heartwarming bond. I was an absolute goner for Aidan the entire time, even through his teenage/young adult years. The fact that he doesn’t speak made this plot even more special. I was heartbroken for Aidan, the poor little boy. But I was also so invested in the instant connection that he and Molly shared. She was Aidan’s rock, his everything. And vice versa.
This book goes through different stages of Molly and Aidan’s lives. From the time they meet, to everything in between, and yes, a HEA. I didn’t always love their journey, but I knew in time, the frustrating parts would be worth it. & they were. I absolutely loved these two, as well as the secondary characters. This plot was unpredictable, which I love. There are sensitive subjects discussed, but they’re written so well. But there are also many sweet, special, and no doubt spicy moments too. I was so happy with how this book ended. The perfect closure for these beautiful characters. I would definitely recommend reading Aidan and Molly’s story
