This book was gifted to me. I was reassured on my new walk with God that He is always with me. In every part of my day He is present. I realize He may at times hide His face to mature my spirituality. I now have this book to reflect on in times I need the reminder.

Emphasized how God can be found in some unpredictable places, we just have to look for Him. Used examples of finding Waldo similar to finding God on every page of the Bible, Gave insight about how Bible is mostly filled with stories about God’s Desiree for relationship not people desire for relationships wit Him, liked spiritual pathways chapter

Ortberg has a way with words...I thank God for talented authors like Him who write books to strengthen Christians in their walk with Him.
I had to keep a pen nearby as I constantly came across nuggets of truth. The way which Ortberg weaves illustrations with Biblical truth makes a strong impact upon the reader.
Chapter seven, Spiritual Pathways, was probably my favorite. In matter of fact, I took an evening before bedtime this past week and read the chapter to my family. In my opinion, the truth was profound. In the chapter, Ortberg lays out the premise that because God made us individuals, certain "growth pathways" will resonate better with some. He lays out the following pathways and the dangers associated with them:
1. Intellectual Pathway
2. Relational Pathway
3. Serving Pathway
4. Worship Pathway
5. Activist Pathway
6. Contemplative Pathway
7. Creation Pathway
He is not saying you will only grow in the area of your pathway. What he is proposing is that because people are different, they will each respond favorably on different pathways.
Every Christian would benefit from the truths contained in this book.

I am abandoning this book after just 36 pages. The author uses language that makes it a slow read and makes me not want to read any further. I got the main message of the book by the end of chapter 1: yes you are constantly anxious but God can help you fix this if you focus on him. The language was too complex and the anecdotes/real-life examples were difficult to relate to. I am finding that the book I'm currently reading 'Present Over Perfect' by Shauna Niequist has the same message but a different more engaging way of telling it. This will be my first 1/5 and it completely deserves it.
