I didn’t realise originally that this was his third book not the first or second and i kind of wished I read the books in order but ehh I started it so I figured I’d finish it. The book itself is very sales driven but as Jordan Belfort points out, everyone has to sell something or themselves at some point in their life so sales is useful for everyone. Which is true, you self products or services at work, you have to sell your ideas and opinions at university, you have to convince people of things even if you’re not a salesperson. I found the book surprisingly interesting and beneficial and I can understand why Belfort is such a successful salesman just by listening to him read his book. One of the better audiobooks I’ve listened to.

Bestselling author and “The Wolf of Wall Street”, Jordan Belfort, shares step-by-step instructions on using his very successful Straight Line System for any business, industry and even your personal life. He notes that you do not have to be in sales to use this system. You can use it from selling your great qualities in a job interview to selling anyone on a great idea.

He teaches one how to use the Three Tens to influence a customer. He discusses the five core elements of the Straight Line System and notes the three things that “absolutely must come across in the first four seconds of an encounter with a customer”. There are many other great factors to consider of which he includes examples and links to his website.

I'm not gonna say that what he writes doesn't work or at least has some solid ideas. But the way this is written was unbearable to read. Not wel structured. Not clear and all round just annoying. Could be me but I found this a struggle to get through.

A partir del capítulo 7, el libro es excelente; una guía práctica y no solo otro libro teórico de ventas. Antes de eso, hay demasiada basura.

This is a must read for all sales people out there. Although I am not a fan of how Belfort teaches the Straight Line Selling method to his readers, it is indeed a great method.

Oh, and finally I know how to sell a pen LOL.

Concise and practical guide on how to approach a prospect up to sealing the deal. At times, the book drags on a bit.
