A short but beautiful story about friendship and loss. Siss' grief, trauma and recovery were handled perfectly by the author (if not by the adults around her in the story). The prose was beautiful and the images described so vivid.

I don't really know how to feel about this book, it was my first experience with a Norwegian author.

It wasn't bad, I wasn't bored, but there was a lot that I wish I just knew more of to connect with the characters and their hardships.

Also the parents here are just awful hahaha. A girl goes missing and they let her best friend go out ALONE in the forest? ok.
