It's cute, but I'm left feeling unsettled by how uneven this relationship feels. Is Mako just really insecure or does she not view herself as being in a real romantic relationship with Meguru? I wish I was more invested in the relationship because I really enjoy the concept.

The dynamic in the core relationship in this story is expanded on a bit more. It’s cushy and very comfortable. Perhaps too comfortable? They are undoubtedly sweet and care about each other a lot. There is a lot that happens, but at the same time not much happens in this volume.

The introduction of a new character and the changes in Souma’s work seems to be shifting Souma’s mindset towards wanting to pursue more.
I wonder how this will impact Souma and Machida’s relationship in following volumes.

I’m not sure how I feel about the new character yet! He seems to be really obsessed with his brother and focused on reaching him through the entertainment industry. But why?
