I liked the message and it was a quick read. But I almost put it down in the beginning because of the new words he introduces without immediately explaining what they mean. I get what he was doing but it was more annoying than anything.

A decent dystopian book, with a great title. Fast-moving plot ..

Every time I listen to the song The Sound of Silence, I am reminded of this book. I am reminded of this dystopian society, about how the people in the story don’t realize what they are missing out on because they are cut off. Books and storytelling have disappeared. No one knows about the past. It is a wild and intriguing tale. I know I will always love it because I always think about it. I plan on rereading this one very soon.

I enjoyed reading this. I can't tell for what audience it was written, with the mature themes unbalanced along side the unnecessary amount of "futuristic slang". It had a lot of good messages and ended well. Can't say that I liked the setting though.

pretty good, in the same genre as [b:The Hunger Games|2767052|The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)|Suzanne Collins|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1293504845s/2767052.jpg|2792775] or [b:Uglies|24770|Uglies (Uglies, #1)|Scott Westerfeld|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1296159834s/24770.jpg|2895388] but with the advantage of being only one book long, rather than a series. Also, the end is wide open, letting the reader imagine how it all turns out...

Too many pulpy genre cliches for my liking.
