Another delightful Alexis Hall book. I really liked both characters and how they grew and connected. It takes place at Christmas but isn't so Christmassy that I still enjoyed reading it in August.

The first kiss was so abrupt that almost made me jump up from the seat…And I can almost be certain about the cat——how it reacted to Jonathan was probably a way to show Sam‘s feelings.

I was given the chance to arc listen to the audiobook version of this book. Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the chance to arc listen.

I truthfully think Alexis Hall is a hit-or-miss author for me... with that being said, I truthfully enjoyed this book. Will Watt's performance is amazing, you can hear the emotion in his voice... it increased my listening experience immensely.

The tropes are grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, slow burn AND, enemies to lovers.

I would also like to state this book has quite a bit of heaviness regarding these characters and their families! So please go in knowing that!

In all I would definitely this book if you have been debating reading Alexis Hall's books, it seems a very good starting point!

Once again thank you for the opportunity to arc-listen to this audiobook, in exchange for my honest opinion!

only Alexis Hall could take two of my least favorite tropes and turn them into a great romcom
