This isn't a book I would normally give 5 stars. It's smutty. Like really smutty. But goddam the writing is so fucking great. I even liked Bliss by the end. Not love, by like. The boys in this were adorable and relatable. I do wish Scythe was around more. Vincent is so freaking boring. I honestly could read a whole book just from Scythe's perspective. I like me a messed up, give no shits man, who only loves one girl. (And boy in this case)
I'm glad our characters got their happily ever after. I even liked the Bliss' Dad was Axel's murderer. Though I didn't love that Bliss ended up becoming the guardian of her 2 siblings. That sounds like not very much fun for any of them. But I guess they made it work.
OH but I must say, Bliss is not fat. For God's sake she's a size EIGHT. I'm a size eight and I do not consider myself fat. I was really hoping for a true plus size heroine. Like bitch, you are not even plus size. Your a medium. Dumb.
I'm so excited to read Rebel's story!

For the curvy women. You deserve to be the main character.
Beware of spoilers
Y’all, this was a rollercoaster. First, Vincent/Scythe get taken by Tabor. Nash, Bliss and her mother get arrested. Bliss’ mother takes the fall with the drugs to get Nash and Bliss released. Vincent gets tortured by Tabor and Caleb. Caleb KILLS Tabor. Caleb sets his sights on Rebel. Gus turns out to be Bliss’ drug dealer and sells her debt to Jerry!!!! Jerry kidnaps Bliss’ little sister. Scythe kills Jerry. Nichelle and Bliss’ father spiced up their relationship with Axel. Nichelle fell in love with Axel. And Bliss’ father kills Axel 🫢. Like what?? AND THEN, the cherry on top, Caleb and his friends attack Rebel after he gained her trust as Callum 😭😭.
All I can say after that is I’m so happy they got their happy ending, especially with the cute ass epilogue, like it literally made me sob?
Favorite quotes/scenes:
“You’re getting to him. This is so fun! Tell him he’s not fooling anyone with that comb-over. We can all see he’s going bald. Ooh! Wait, I’ve got a better one. Tell him you slept with his mama! Guys like him HATE when you diss their mamas!” (Scythe)
“I’m so sorry.”
“Why?” (Vincent)
“He mutilated you!”
“Your name in my skin would never be a mutilation, Bliss. I like it.” (Vincent)
“I kind of hope you get pregnant.” (Nash)
“You what?”
“What? I can’t help it. I’m forty. I want kids and I want them with you. I’ll wait ’til you’re ready, but I’m done holding back. I’m all in, Bliss. I want to be your man. Your husband. The father of your babies.” (Nash)
“I’ve waited a really long time to hear you say you want me, Vincent.”
Vincent. Not Scythe. She sat back and took her sweater off, letting it drop to the floor beside the bed.
There you go, big boy! You’re at home plate! You’re gonna swing and hit a home run! (Scythe)
I really needed to get some tablets that would silence him.
Rude.(Scythe)
Rude.(Scythe)
“I want your name tattooed on my skin the same way it’s already tattooed across my heart.” (War)
“I would like a baby. Quite a lot, actually.” (Vincent)
“And you? You’re just going along with this?” (Bliss)
“More than okay. I already told you I wanted you pregnant, even though you clearly didn’t believe me at the time. So hear me now, Bliss. I’m so fuckin’ okay I think we should go start trying right now.” (Nash)
“I’m not Scythe. I can’t be him for you. For any of you. I don’t know how. I wish I did.” (Vincent)
“I know. I get it. None of us can change who we truly are deep inside. I won’t ask you to.” (War)
“All I need for you is to be you. I fell in love with you, before I fell in love with Scythe. Whoever you are, Vincent Atwood, you’re enough.” (Bliss)
“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” (Vincent)
“I love you. Just in case you die in the next thirty seconds from internal bleeding or some shit.” (Scythe)
“Scythe?” (War)
“No, Madonna. Strike a pose.” (Scythe)
“Say it again.” (War)
“Hey, nice to meet you, I’m Madonna.” (Scythe)
“Say you fucking love me.” (War)
“I fucking love you.” (Scythe)
“I’m not going anywhere. That baby is mine, even if it comes out wearing a flannel shirt or holding a teeny-tiny baby-sized knife. “ (War)
“But same. If it has War’s green eyes, or Nash’s… wrinkles, it’s still my kid.” (Scythe)
“Even if I have to listen to those two make old man jokes for the rest of my life, that baby is mine too. Just like his mama. I’m all in Bliss. I’m all in. Even with you two assholes.” (Nash)
“You’re going to dress to match my tux?” (Scythe)
“I’d do anything to make you happy.” (Bliss)
“Take your pants off.” (Scythe)
“What?” (Bliss)
“Take. Your. Pants. Off. I need to make you come. Nobody has ever cared about indulging my whims like you do, Bliss. Not even War.” (Scythe)
“You okay? With everything?” (Heath)
“I’m happy. I’m very happy.” (Vincent)
Bonus epilogue quotes:
“Lady with a watermelon up her dress. Or it might be a baby? How would I know? You’re the doctors.” (Scythe)
“Do you think its head is shaped like mine? Here, look at mine and compare.” (Scythe)
“War.” (Bliss)
“Yeah, I got him, baby girl.” (Nash)
There on her hand, in the exact same spot as her daddy, was a tiny, scythe-shaped birthmark. A slow grin spread across War’s face, and he put his arms around Scythe, drawing him in tight. “She’s yours, Scythe. No doubt about it.” (This made me sob 😭😭)
“Scythe? Talk to us. What are you thinking right now? Whatever it is, it’s okay. We’ll deal with it together.” (Bliss)
“I was just thinking that if she’s biologically mine, I should go home and hide the knives.”

One of my very favorite series of elles. I love Bliss and the relationship she has with her men. Revenge on 2 murders of loved ones, these men and their woman have to fight obstacles to be together.

The audiobook version is to die for! Both the narrators do a fabulous job with distinguishing each characters voice and every emotion throughout the book. I highly recommend listening to this entire series if you can.
This book starts off right where the book 2 cliffhanger left us, Scythe is taken by the prision warden and the entire bar is raided leaving Bliss, Kim and Nash in jail. Caleb can't seem to catch a hint and leave Bliss and her new family alone... he's quite the drama llama and for a person who says such vile things about Bliss he's pretty obsessed with her. I'm convinced that this isn't the last we've seen of our least favorite slimeball.
We finally get to the bottom of the murder of Axel, which was a twist I didn't see coming, but I don't feel like the author spent enough time unpacking all of that emotionally. There's a confession and a commotion and then we fast forward a few weeks while we're all getting ready for a party as if everything is fine again. We also find out who is responsible for the crash that lead to the death of War's father. A lot more time is given to this one for plotting revenge.
One thing that really bothered me the whole time was how Bliss is literally in a relationship with lawbreaking men, an ex-pimp, an MC president, a contract killer who has escaped prision and is wanted... but yet she doesn't turn to them when she needs them. She chooses to try to take care of her own problems leading to more.
