If you loved the rest of this series, this one will be no exception! I have other books checked out/available I intended to read but now must go directly to the next in the series.

Miles inicia su primera misión como auditor para investigar un accidente en Komar acompañado por uno de sus colegas, una investigación tranquila que se irá enrevesando para mostrar raíces profundas y destructivas.

Another banger of a Vorkosigan Book. One of my favourites with a great mystery plot but really shining with the new characters especially Ekaterin and all of her story. By the end , you could see where the story is headed towards between Ekaterin and Miles and I am just along for the ride as the small crumbs we got in this book were so fun to read and ponder upon.

Reliably good, as expected. I'm still completely annoyed with my library for downgrading our Hoopla subscription so none of the rest of the series will be available for me to listen to on audio. It's a shame because these books seem particularly good to me as audiobooks; I've enjoyed them all so much.

December 2018 Reread: surprised to discover that for me, this one didn't hold up quite as well as the chronologically earlier books in the series.

Love, love this series! Another great Miles adventure, this time in his new role as Imperial Auditor on the trail of Komarran terrorists.

Gotta say that hands down my favorite thing about this book is that, despite Ekaterin being a much more stereotypical "housewife" type than the other leading women characters in these books, her achievements and skill sets are never minimized or dismissed in any way inferior to, say, being good at solving mysteries/fighting.
Anyway, I like these books a fair bit anyway, I can't think of an obvious reader set who wouldn't, though.

I love our new narrator. I love the mystery plot of this one. I love the slow romance.
I also want to praise the technobabble in this novel. Yes, it's taking about 5-D wormholes. But (and I'm saying this as an engineer), the engineers talk like engineers, and the words they say make sense and convey the concepts clearly. Honestly, the technobabble in this series is the best I've ever encountered. Not too much or too technical for someone who doesn't care. But also accurate and enlightening enough to explain it to someone who does care, like me. Obviously some research and actual science went into it.
