Oof... This book went on too many rants and rambles to hold my attention. I can't even remember if I finished it or not.

The narrator talks directly to the reader a bit too much during the first part of the book, but once I got into the plot I enjoyed it. A page-turner when you reach the climax, so I'm looking forward to reading the other 2 in this series.

The book was good but it is for a young readers so it wasn’t really interesting for me but it had some good moments.

My older daughter asked me to read this to her. It was highly entertaining and amusing. This author is unconventional in his story telling refusing to divulge parts of the story to ensure you do not guess who the real life people are. The main characters go on a sense inspired journey to uncover the "secret". I highly recommend!

This is a fun book to read! The author uses a similar technique to the Lemony Snicket books by using the narrator as a character in the story who doesn't ever interact with the main characters. The biggest difference is that this is a much lighter book. It isn't all doom and gloom. Cass and Max-Ernest are interesting characters who, as outcasts, bond together over the mystery they find themselves involved in. I was entertained by this book and look forward to reading the other books in this series.
