Așadar, cartea asta a venit mănușă peste tumultul din sufletul meu. Mi-a readus în minte obiceiuri de care am aflat acum, magazine pe care le-am vizitat și eu, mâncăruri tradiționale, dar și un strop din modul în care suedezii se raportează la viață. Am un singur regret acum: că nu am reușit să o citesc chiar în noaptea dintre ani. Poate efervescența poveștii ar fi pișcat strașnic din trăirile mele, poate că emoțiile ar fi avut un impact mai puternic și mai de durată. Poate că aș fi ieșit chiar la balcon și aș fi căutat bărbatul grăbit care se îndrepta spre adolescenta pierdută. Poate, poate, poate.

For the most part this book did hook me in. It had some interesting characters, two plot twists I didn't see coming but one that I definitely did. It was an interesting story but it started to drag in the middle and I don't think the ending was great. Also, how many times can an author mention 'throwing your hands up in the air' to show a character is exasperated? (Eleven times if you were wondering, and a twelfth that I think closely qualifies). However, it was still one that had me staying up late into the night to find out what happens and despite its other flaws, that in itself speaks volumes.
