For the most part this book did hook me in. It had some interesting characters, two plot twists I didn't see coming but one that I definitely did. It was an interesting story but it started to drag in the middle and I don't think the ending was great. Also, how many times can an author mention 'throwing your hands up in the air' to show a character is exasperated? (Eleven times if you were wondering, and a twelfth that I think closely qualifies). However, it was still one that had me staying up late into the night to find out what happens and despite its other flaws, that in itself speaks volumes.
