I normally love all of John Grisham's books. This one did not grab me into the story line the way the others have. I also wasn't crazy about the storyline either. He has written much better books and I hope his next one will be better than this.

I enjoyed this. It was like several short stories so you don't have to wait 300 pages to figure it out.

I didn't read reviews of this before reading the book and my first thought was that it's basically a collection of short stories... I see now others had this reaction as well! They are good stories but not my preferred reading material.

The new character seems very different from the past lawyer heroes in Grisham's book, but not unlikable. The story does seem to be less cohesive than some, but it was still enjoyable to me. I like the narrator, Mark Deakins, --he really made to stories come together. If you have not listened to one of John Grisham's books, I urge you to try one--it is great!

Oof. The main character is obnoxious. Not in that "this is an unlikable character but still compelling and/or week written." Rather, the character just came off as a jerk who thinks he knows better than everyone else.
The narration was good. But the writing was disappointing.

I don't know what conventional wisdom dictates, but for me 5-stars means I loved it enough to read or listen to it again. I'm not sure if it's the book itself -- though I do love me some John Grisham -- or the reader, but I LOVE this book and have already looked to find others read by the same guy. He rocks.

John Grisham does it again, I couldn't put this one down and was sad when I finished the last page. I wish there was more to Sebastian Rudds story, but thankful that I got as much as I did.

Really fast paced & well written. I hope there is going to be another book with Sebastian. I loved his character.
