I am not entirely sure that my rating is fair for this book. I gave it three stars instead of four because I just couldn't make myself want to read it. The concept of the Body Finder series is different than anything else I have read and this story is interesting. But the gotta-read-it factor is big for me. So...three stars it is.

Solid continuing. This is definitely a book i could take or leave though. If the entire series didn't happen to be available the last time I was at the library I doubt I would have continued past the first book. It just doesn't have that draw to it that makes it hard to put down.
They're edging towards some of the common pitfalls of teen fiction, but so far have managed to avoid completely falling in (not too many "oh my god i need him what will i do if he takes five minutes to call me back" or "i'm falling in love with the strange new boy show just mysteriously transferred here and has powers like mine"_

A good second book about Violet and Jay, along with Violet's "gift." The last section of the book is fast-paced and action-packed as the ramifications of Violet's latest finds pan out. There is good set-up for future books with the introduction of a few new interesting characters.

Despite giving this book one star less than its predecessor, I loved it. I found myself holding my breath at points, getting angry at some characters and then sad at other times.
This was wonderful and now I am onto the third one!

This was a nice sequel to the 1st book, and I liked it to a point. I guess I'm not that into make-out scenes. This book, as opposed to the first one, had me trying to guess who sent Violet the dead cat and the note. (Well, I guessed right, but yeah)

The second book in the Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting was just as exciting as the first! I still really liked Violet. I empathized with her inability to do anything after finding a body and being so consumed with finding one once she sensed one. It reminds me a bit of the show Medium. I still loved Jay and Violet' bond and I feel sorry for Chelsea since I assume that since Mike is moving away to live with his aunt they are no longer together. I hope she Jules and Claire all find there 'one' just like Violet has.
I'm starting to pick up pheromones from the Rafe guy for Violet and she isn't completely immune either. I wonder what will happen with them. Especially with the info from the sneak peak of the third book! :)
Update (21/10/2016):
I don't completely agree with my last review. The second book lost some of the sparkle although that could be because I'd read it before and so I knew who the killer was the whole time.
I found Violet to be a bit more annoying. I think it's because of some similarities in our personalities. I both hated how much she kept to herself and completely understood it.
I still love Jay and Violet together and am still sad for Chelsea that Mike is moving away.
I found the dad to be super creepy. He had some serious issues and I'm kind of glad he killed himself since now the kids don't have to worry about ever seeing him again. I felt really bad for Mike though since he probably saw and somewhat contributed to his father's suicide. I don't the father deserved a nice echo like the sound/feel of butterfly wings.
