Despite having read Ulysses, some sections multiple times over, this book was full of surprises that have me looking forward to my next reading. ユリシーズは読んだことある、部分的に何度も何度ものに、この本を読むまで全然気づいたないことが山ほどだった。次回のユリシーズは楽しみです。

This was pretty helpful as a companion to _Ulysses_. It definitely cleared up things I didn't even realize happened. I don't always agree with his interpretations, but they were still interesting.

If you pick just one subtext for Ulysses, pick this one.

I'll admit it. I'm a chump. ULYSSES is a hard read for me. At the end of each chapter, I've been referring back to both THE NEW BLOOMSDAY BOOK and a few chapter summaries on the internet. They've been helpful, because there is SO much that I have missed in ULYSSES (see: me as chump). BLOOMSDAY is each to read, and a super helpful resource for people in my position. Gives a good, clear summary and analysis of the book. Some folks poo-poo it for being too simple. Sure, it's ULYSSES FOR DUMMIES, but that's ok. I'm a dummies.

I am the Ethiopian eunuch, Ulysses is the scroll of Isaiah and this book is Philip, proclaiming good news from that which is otherwise incomprehensible.

A great resource to make your first reading of Ulysses more insightful and rewarding. A mix of summary and analysis that helps unlock this challenging but fulfilling book. Also a great refresher: I refer to whenever I revisit Ulysses.

كان هذا الكتاب بحق خير معين منذ بداية رحلتي الطويلة مع رواية (عوليس)، وميزته أنه يمكن للقاريء العادي العودة إليه فصل بفصل كلما استغلق عليه الفهم هنا أو هناك، كما أنه مفيد للغاية لمن يخطو خطواته اﻷولى نحو عالم (عوليس) المتشعب والمعقد، ولكن بالطبع بعد أن يكون قد قرأ أعمال جويس اﻷولى.

This is a very useful companion to Ulysses. It simply explains what's going on, so I would have liked more annotation about hidden references and controversial points.

Really couldn’t have gotten through Ulysses without it. A great guide to the book.
