I loved this book, even if the ending destroyed me. The first part of the story is slower in order to build the world, explain the creatures and the magic. I fell in love with Andrea. She was a strong female character, but wasn't so cruel to others as so many "badass" female characters are. Draven was her perfect match. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Ok, I was not expecting to be emotionally gutted by this book - AH! Great worldbuilding, loveable characters, heartbreaking story. There are a few typos/grammar mistakes, but less than I expected from complaints in some reviews. I need the second book STAT so I can start the healing process. Can't wait to see what happens next. Warning: this is no HEA.
