Connor seems impossibly young to me. I want his mom to write a book.

"The future is as bright as you let it shine. Don't be tricked into seeing it dimly." (Franta 209)
A decent little book on a life, living choices, handfuls of good advice, and many beautiful picture to match the moments.

Some chapters felt more stating without any expansion. Like what was the point of including some things. Also annoyed by the use of “him or her” instead of “their” a bit after the halfway point.

a little juvenile and on occasion slightly naive but still refreshingly thoughtful words from a 22 year old. a somewhat unique and pioneering experience in the digital age

I laughed and I cried and then smiled so much my cheeks hurt. It felt as if I had Connor in my room with me as we talked at a kitchen table, both nursing a warm cup of coffee. If you want to feel inspired then I really recommend reading this book. Couldn't be more be more of him. I can't wait to see what he does next.

"Girls can be athletic. Guys can have feelings. Girls can be smart. Guys can be creative. And vice versa. Gender is specific only to your reproductive organs (and sometimes not even to those), not your interest, likes, dislikes, goals, and ambitions."
I’m going to admit something pitiful right now; I’ve always struggled to get into YouTube. I have no problem watching the videos with friends; I actually enjoy when they show me the latest and greatest stories, songs, or skits. However, I’ve never purposefully set out to click that frightening app and find people I want to follow on my own.
I read this because a friend thrust it into my hands and told me to read it during a road trip. My family was taking a vacation in Florida, and one way was 15 hours. I figured, what the heck, might as well give it a shot. Besides, there are lots of pictures and it’s only a little over 200 pages.
I was expecting pretty much what I got; an aesthetically pleasing novel, inside and out. I’ve seen a handful of Connor’s videos, and I’ve always liked his charisma so I knew something written by him (if it was actually written by him; celebrity memoirs are tricky that way) would be entertaining at least. It was. You could tell he wrote it. His humor and talent for storytelling are present in the scattered stories and tips.
I loved all the pictures. It added to the feel and even the emotion of this little book. It gave even more personality to an already personable book. Connor really has an eye as a photographer.
Overall, an adorable book shelf addiction for YouTube fans and anyone who enjoys a life story written with humor and honestly.

I think this book is well written, but guess I was expecting something more like Tyler Oakley's book where it was stories about childhood. Not a little short synopsis and then four pages of words that felt like they belonged in a self help book.

This book was beautiful. Inspired me to take risks and follow dreams. I found myself loving Connor as I read more about him. There were times I laughed; there were also times I felt like a close friend getting to know him on a deeper level. I loved the way the book was published (the pictures, the texture and look of the pages, etc..).

This book was just amazing. I have always loved reading memoirs and I really wanted to read some by YouTubers. I have watched Connor Franta on YouTube for a while and I was so excited he was releasing a book. This book made me laugh, cry, and really get to know him more. I think everyone has a story to tell and I love that Connor wanted to share his with us.

Interesting reading this and remembering what was going on in the world/youtube at the time this was written.
