This is YA and I should know I don't love YA (or very rarely). Too much angst and too little progress. I can't give more without spoilers but don't go in this for the scif dystopian aspect or you will be disappointed.

*My star number review is based solely on enjoyment.

Woah. A number of things bugged me or just weren’t my style, and it was a slow start, but I got so sucked in and I still don’t know how to process it all. Not the book I thought it’d be but I don’t regret reading it at all

I'm impressed. It's interesting to see the difference on how characters perceive themselves versus how others see them. Wow, I really hated Harry. Haaaaaaated.

Okay, this was all very Teens In Space, but who doesn’t want to read about teens in space? The book starts out with the teens at their fancy space-prep school and moves verrry slowly through their last day on Earth and then their voyage to Terra-Two. It really is like one of those stories about kids who just graduated—a Reality Bites or Garden State, if you will. Now combine it with the enclosed space of a bottle episode and you’ll have an idea of the level of Drama we’ve got going on here. It is enjoyable, also, on the alternate universe astronaut level. Even though the book starts in 2012, the space program here has been around for about a hundred years, and so it’s much further along (and maybe a bigger part of the culture, definitely a bigger part of British culture, which is where all the kids are from). This book wasn’t what I expected, but I want more like it!
