Revelations by Izzibella Beau is the first book in the Separate Worlds series. This is an interesting YA Fantasy story with two great characters right at the heart of it. I was drawn into the story from the moment I started reading by the writing style. The author has created an imaginative story and one that I could picture so easily. Zack and Emily just added to this. I wanted to know more about the mystery that seemed to surround them and see where their journey would lead.
This is a relatively new author to me but I already know I will be reading more from her in the future. I enjoy everything about her books and find them exciting to read.
I am looking forward to book 2 already.

I love this book! The story completely drew me in from the beginning, and I fell in love with all the characters. Jacob was super annoying, I was getting really mad for poor Madison, and the fact that he goes against pack law not once but twice is also slightly concerning. Zach and Emily are the sweetest together, but the way Zach treats Emily towards the end when the big bomb was dropped had me angry. I can understand why he would be upset but it is always better to talk things out instead of walking away and avoiding it. It also seem as the end he gets all up in his feelings and might make the worst decision he could regarding his and Emily’s future relationship. I was more invested in Jacob and Madison’s relationship than the others but still want to know what will happen. I can not wait until the next book comes out, I need to know what happens!

Revelations is book one of a new YA paranormal series by Izzibella Beau called Separate Worlds. I gave this 5 stars as it was such a fun exciting world of fantastical characters that I can’t wait to see grow and develop in future books. This story has suspense, drama, romance- all things that were fleshed out & detailed. Emily & Zach have a fun chemistry together and great back stories in this town filled with magical creatures. Highly recommend.

Revelations was written really well. I felt bad for Madison and the back and forth she had with Jacob. I connected with everyone except Jacob. He reminds me of the high school jocks I dealt with in high school. I hope he gets his head on straight and fesses up to his mistakes. The different points of view got a little confusing to follow at first, but once I got the hang of it I was able to follow who was "speaking" that cliffhanger got me real good and I can't wait to read the next book! I seriously couldn't put this book down!

This was a great book!! I was super disappointed when it ended, and with a cliffhanger at that! I enjoy books about the supernatural world and this one was not a disappointment.
The characters were lovable and struggled with not only normal high school issues, but learning how to deal with their legacies. I think puberty is hard enough without having to deal with if you are a wolf, witch, or dealing with vampire enemies.
I am definitely looking for the next installment of this series!!

Zach and Emily are just two seniors in high school in West Lakes, Zach is part of a big family and is close to his siblings, but he has friends who are like family to him as well, but Emily is the new kid in town with only her Aunt who she lives with, but no friends because she moves around so much because of her Aunt’s work. As they both embark on a new school year, they are polar opposites from completely separate worlds, but when those worlds collide nothing will be the same.
As Zach prepares for his new school year, he has the usual single word conversation with his younger brother as he is woken up too early by him coming home too late, they are the complete opposite in personality, if not in looks, but they are still family despite annoying each other to death, whereas Emily is still unpacking from her move and takes a welcome break to go to the mall with her Aunt to get some new clothes for the start of the new school year, she wants to make a good impression as the new kid in town and is not overly sure that the nerves aren’t going to get the better of her in the end.
When the fateful first day arrives, Zach is happy to see his friends, but when he has to go to the administrators office to get his schedule instead of it being at the seniors table, he is more than annoyed with the delay, but when he enters, there is a girl in there before him, she intrigues him, but when she turns around he is lost and when she turns around she isn’t as stunned into silence as him. This girl is Emily as she collects her schedule as well after being dropped off at the school, she smiles at the hot guy standing in front of her, but politely excuses herself when he just stands there and stares at her rudely. As she is trying to find her way to her locker and first period, she is approached by a couple of girls as she is attempting to keep her head down and avoid the usual stares and comments as she walks by, especially from the other hot guys who were in the office before her and it turns out that the guy from earlier is in her first period and as the girls introduce themselves and him, he walks her to their class, but barely says two words to her.
Zach is completely distracted by Emily and has no idea why as he doesn’t normally react to girls like that and it makes him more and more annoyed as the day goes on, especially when Emily is invited to join their group at lunch and then to shopping, the football game and the dance afterwards that Friday. As the days pass, Zach gets a handle on his emotions and inner conflicts and gets to know Emily more, she is as happy with this turn of events as he is and they become closer as time goes on. Will this be the moment when Emily can finally stop moving around and will Zach finally find an attraction like he never has before, or is it all just teenage hormones and nothing more? This is a sweet romance with some adult themes, but it is a romance with a twist which keeps you wanting to know more about their different worlds and what will happen as time goes on between them.

Revelations by Izzibella Beau has a bit of everything your little YA heart desires. The author builds a world that draws you straight in. There’s teenage angst but not over the top and a good dose of chemistry with a splash of paranormal thrown in. I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters and as this is written in third person, the reader gets more of an insight into the motives behind everyone’s actions. A cliffy at the end too. I recommend this book and I will be definitely checking out book 2.

This is the first book in a new young adult series by this author. I have never read any of her books previously, so I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this. I was quite pleased with the story because I found her writing and attention to detail to be very enjoyable. I think she did a wonderful job with the characters and their connection to one another that made them seem too relatable. The chemistry between the two main characters was phenomenal. They are from different worlds and the friends and family around them cannot be trusted. I found that the plot twists and turns kept me enthralled and wanting to know what would happen next. I wasn’t disappointed.

When I started this book I could not put it down. This author's use of details makes this story pull you into the story from the beginning. Her plotline kept me turning the pages. I needed to know what was coming next. The characters were lively, engaging, and complexed. This book is about Zach and Emily. They come from two very different worlds and they need to be cautious about the people in their life. They need to look into the world with their eyes open and watch their backs. I highly recommend this book to see all the twists and turns that happen in the world for Zach and Emily.

More of a coming of age story with a paranormal twist and some mystery. Would rate as upper YA/New Adult as there is sex talk and some sexy scenes.
I found the new (to me) take on the werewolf pack, where it’s only males born into the pack and females are brought in via being a mate, very interesting. I also liked reading about the core group’s (Zach, Danny, Alex, Madison and Emily) dynamics and how it changed throughout the school year, with them each discovering more about themselves and each other. There’s hints of “friends to lovers,” “enemies to lovers,” and “Mate” romance. Something for every paranormal romance fan to enjoy.
I wished we got more of the “mystery” aspect in book 1, but it’ll keep me hanging on for book 2!
