For being only black and white, the artwork in this short graphic novel is evocative and lovely. The story itself was a little hard to follow and could have used some better demarcators and visual queues that time or space had changed. It was also hard to follow the different characters as many looked quite similar and all used the same text treatment. Still, worth the 45 minutes it takes to enjoy.

Ihastuttava kuvitus. Tulee mieleen Janne Kukkosen Voro.
as a parent this story was personal and as a human it is heartbreaking as you follow a parents journey to save their child from dark forces. very moving, and definitely a comic book that will make you cry...
Not quite as impactful as Black Hole, unfair even to compare them, but what can you do? A fantastic read, nonetheless, written in response to the death of the child of friends of the creator. You can see where this is going ... a long ways to save a child, only to fail. In the process though, an easy drawing hand renders a detailed world in what I would (probably incorrectly) call a sketching style.
A poignant, weird and wonderfully told story of family, the importance of life and enjoying those moments while you can. I really enjoyed this book. The whimsical and surreal dream-like black and white artwork works really well with the curious tale being woven. This is my first Pedrosa experience and I was taken away by it for the short time it took me to read the book. Really unique and enjoyable. A single-story graphic novel worth trying, for sure.
