I enjoyed this book more than the last, but still prefer the original characters of Spiderwick over the new ones. It felt a bit weird having the two worlds cross as they did, but I also enjoyed it!

I’m happy we got more Jules and Cindy in this one, I like them both a lot. It was also cool to see mermaids and lil Sandspur. Is he really a hobgoblin? He doesn’t look much like Hogsqueal did (but I guess there are plenty of related species in real life that look nothing like each other). I wonder what Noseeum Jack left for Nick in the kiddie pool. It’s obviously not as irrelevant as Nick thinks it is.

This one is much better then the first "beyond". I read it in about an hour.

2nd book in the series Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles - the Vargas kids (with the help of the Grace kids from the Spiderwick Chronicles) are dealing with the awakening of giants throughout Florida . . .

This was my Harry Potter as a kid. It was the only series that I would read. I have no idea what got me into Spiderwick (it is extremely out of character for me), but I am glad I did.

I am finally just barely getting into the sequel series, Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles, and it is interesting. I would say it is even better than the original, as most sequels usually are (hate me if you want for that take).

I rented the audiobook from the local library and finished it in one day. It was a super quick read, but the ending was a little scary.
