Dedication to Murder is the highly anticipated ninth book in Lauren Elloitt's Beyond the Page mystery series. I have enjoyed following Addie Greybourne's life journey through the series, and have looked forward to her wedding in this installment. The characters are fun and engaging, with qualities that lend them a real life persona. The interesting covers and story lines pull the reader in, while the usually fast paced mysteries keep them seeking the culprit. This book opens with Addie rushing to her wedding, late, with her best friend when--Wham!--the pace ramps up and doesn't let go. I enjoyed the dual mysteries as much as the tangled romantic storyline. There is more emotion than I expected, but that did not detract from the story.
Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Cozies, and Lauren Elloitt for granting my request to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am excited to share this with other cozy loving readers.

The romantic entanglements of Addie Greybourne have always been my least favorite part of this series, so knowing this book would kick off with her wedding to Simon might have been a bad sign. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the two mysteries that Addie gets drawn into. Addie's aunt's house has many secrets hidden in its walls, and another is revealed when she begins sorting through the attic. And then Marc actually requests her help in unraveling a poisoning death in town. While her life may be in turmoil, she has enough on her plate to distract her from her troubles.

I received a copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. It's the first book that I've read in the Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery series.
Dedication to Murder is an old-fashioned mystery. The characters are very pleasant, but I found the dialogue in many cases to be a bit stiff. The women really didn't sound like 30- to 40-year old women, but more like old grandmother types.
The story itself was engaging. And it was interesting to have a couple of different mysteries being solved at the same time.

It was a great book. It left me unwell, though. The feelings of anger, heartache, and annoyance rumbled through me. I hope there is a better ending later on. I don’t want to spoil anything… but I am sad and annoyed with how this played out. How the two mysteries did come together was pretty clever.
