As much as I loved this book, the overall writing was repetitive and felt unnecessarily elongated. Perhaps that's why it took me several months to finally finish. However, the principles and points were tremendously relevant and much needed for today.

I had really high hopes for this book, but it let me down. It was really disappointing and painfully boring. I couldn’t even get past the second chapter. The author is clearly someone who had extremely high hopes of being “someone remarkable” and who struggled with jealousy for her husband who seemed to have become that “someone” before she did. I found this book immature and pretentious. Wouldn’t recommend and regret buying it.

This is easily one of my favorite books of 2023 so far. I wish college-age Emily could’ve read this one.

We are made for a person. Easy to say, hard to live out. Appreciated Kelly’s honesty and transparency in sharing her own struggles. Also appreciated how scripture is woven throughout this book and while it helped remind my soul to breathe and rest in Christ’s sovereignty and my hidden identity in Him, it also gave practical advice and actions.
