I love James Patterson. Whenever I want to read something quick and entertaining, he always delivers and he puts out so many books that there seems to always be something new.

This particular book follows a journalist that gets pulled into the mob scene when he witnesses a gruesome murder. Like any good mystery, there are betrayals and loyalties. There are good twists and turns. I knew there were going to be betrayals but not who which I enjoy. I love when there are a few things that I do not figure out.

Overall, this book was definitely worth reading and since it is not part of a series, the story is over.

Most of Patterson’s standalone novels are mainly hit or miss reads, but “Don’t Blink” was a read that really gripped me. We follow a hotshot New York reporter investigate a mob hit at a popular steakhouse that turns deadly and will put him and his longtime friend in harm’s way. While it may have a few cliches, it’s still a very entertaining ride with its characters and dialogue that certainly won’t bore you. A- (91%/Excellent)

I just loved this book, it was a quick read, I could almost feel like I was "reading" a movie. The intro was very good, and overall the book has a lot of action and is very exciting. I'd love to see more of these characters.

I couldn't get into this book. I can tell that this book is not written by Patterson and is Roughan's work. This book doesn't follow Patterson's usual writing style. It starts in first person pov but then the narrator is suddenly talking directly to the reader before the book switches back to first person and it continues to switch like that. It's unnecessary and distracting. I made it to 70 pages before I decided to put this one down. Here's hoping that the next Patterson release is a better read.

I was impressed! Even though it was a James Patterson novel, it was refreshing. It seemed the style and story line are different than what I'm used to reading from him.

I really enjoyed Nick's narration and the way the plot twisted. Although Nick did seem to be a little too luck dodging death at the end of every other chapter.

There was this little tidbit that I LOVED! Nick, the journalist, was speaking to a police officer and said he needed help writing a novel.
the cop responds with something along the lines of "yeah sometimes we help out with Alex Cross books"
Nick replied, "Never read them"

I laughed out loud. I thought it was a brilliant little tidbit between the author and reader.

As a big fan of James Patterson's books I was not disappointed by this book at all. I enjoyed it very much. A lot of people will beg to differ he never disaapoints me when he writes a novel. I like the whole concept of the mafia. As I like stories mafia based or serial killer based. James patterson succeeded in keeping me in suspense.

This book is mindless nonsense and it doesn’t really make sense. There are also a few writing quirks that made me cringe but for some reason I still enjoyed it. It is the book equivalent of watching a terrible movie, sometimes something is so bad that you enjoy it. I wouldn’t say this book was terrible but I should have hated it and I didn’t. It didn’t follow the laws of physics, at times it felt like the main character was talking to a camera. It was just not good. Go figure.

I have been a little annoyed with James Patterson lately. The last few books haven't been very good. At least not interesting enough to hold my attention. This one was great. It was so nice to have a change of perspective. Instead of a typical detective/policeman/law enforcement point of view you get a reporter which was really intersting. The plot was good and had decent turns. A little predictable but still kept my attention. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.
