I absoluately adored this book. Tru and Jake's story is definitely now one of my top favorite stories of all times. Loved every freaking minute of it. Thanks Ms. Towle for sharing this amazing story with us.

I really liked this book and would have given it 5 stars if not for the way Tru acted at the end. I wanted to punch her. I liked the beginning being told from Jake's point of view. I love Jake! He is a great leading man! Can't wait for book 2!

Trudy Bennett was bff's with Jake Wethers till age 14 , he was forced to move from the UK to the US. Eventually these lose touch.
12 years later he is a successful, newly rehabbed, womanizing rock star and she is a music journalist forced to interview him. Secretly she has always loved him and he has always loved her.
They begin an affair despite Tru being with Will. Tru finally ends it with Will. Things progress and something happens and Jake ends up back in drugs. On a bender Tru catches him in bed with another woman but he swears nothing happened. She finally does believe him but decides she can't live his public life.
It was a good, sweet and hot story. Jake was a rock star in need of a serious time out. Too much time being given everything he wanted has definitely made him bratty.
They really need to get their shit together or they won't last in the long run.

I normally don't give out a 5 star rating until I've read a book more than once since I seem to have a bottomless TBR pile and if a book can get me away from that to read it again it has earned that 5 stars...that being said, I already know I'll be reading this again soon so why bother with the delay? I pretty much loathe love triangles and usually completely turned off by cheating plots...Samantha Towle made me love this book despite all that. It was a roller coaster of emotions and I had to take a few breaks but I read it all in one sitting. By the end my eyes were gritty and burning but it was worth it. I loved Jake and I loved Jake with Tru even more. Jake is a mess but watching him try to pull it together for Tru gave me the warm fuzzies. I normally don't do the whole "if you love this book you should read that book" thing but I'm a huge fan of Beautiful Disaster and although the plot is completely different the "love" is quite similar. Slightly obsessive/destructive/co-dependent and needy. I'm not convinced that in the real world it's healthy to need or be needed that much but for a story it is AMAZING! Saw a blurb there will be another book...not sure if it's going to be more Jake and Tru or another TMS member but either way I'll be snapping it up.

This is a slightly better worked out Thoughtless. What I didn't like about Thoughtless, I also didn't like about this. The heroine is so stupidly naive, it's laughable. Like Thoughtless, it's unlikely I'll be carrying on with this series.
