After everything the author went through and his forethought to write about it immediately after to capture the events the most accurately possibly without the sway of hindsight, how can you rate you this anything but a 5? It’s an incredible story of unimaginable endurance and tragedy.  It wrecked me.

Every time I read stories about World War II, I am shocked by the unimaginable cruelty that humans can inflict on each other. The tales of suffering and horror are almost too horrific to believe, yet they are true. 'The Pianist' by Władysław Szpilman is a book that captures the true essence of the war, full of stories that make you shudder and question humanity's place in the world.

It is not possible to evaluate a personal account of losing everyone and going through hell.
