the premise of this book was really interesting, and it definitely delivered….. 75% through. the first 250 pages i was fighting for my life, finding it hard to connect with the characters or get the flow of the book. the last 150 pages tho… ate !

I enjoyed a lot about this book (aka Hyacinth) but it dragged a bit in some places and then all of a sudden so many new characters appeared! Definitely closer to a 3.5 but I did love all of the adoption aspects, the diversity, and how people developed their powers! Would have loved a little more background on how everything came to be, but still a good story

Liked it more than I thought I would. Interesting story line. Kept my attention. Good read.

I definitely only read the first 5 sentences of this books preview paragraph so i was GOBSMACKED when zombies started to appear and kill people… this book should have “thriller” attached to the genre because it was freaking intense, but still pretty good and relatable lol

It was good, but I wasn't enjoying it after about 50 pages so I decided to stop reading. I'd recommend this to a teen patron, it just wasn't for me.

This was just okay, it dragged a lot in the beginning but thankfully, the story picks up midway. I liked the idea of the zombies and the super powers were a lot of fun. It took a bit for me to connect with these characters but I liked the cute lil' romance with Sid and Brian (though the romance was more of a slow burn) and Sid's character growth was nice to see. Also Chad the cat was an amazing addition.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC!
