I devoured this book. It surprised me in the best way, being much more of a commentary on how we (especially women) approach our passions and how it impacts your life and identity than I anticipated. Tabitha Carvan writes in such a relatable voice, it feels like you're having a conversation with a friend and discovering things together or learning from her experiences along the way. I also learned quite a bit about Benedict Cumberbatch as a bonus.

So, this book is a *little bit* about Benedict Cumberbatch, but it is actually a much deeper book about women letting themselves find joy and not feeling bad about it. I really liked Tabitha Carvan's writing (though I do sort of wish I had listened to this one in audio to get the Australian accent), and I enjoyed the intermixing of her personal experience with academic insights. I can see how this might not be the book for everyone, but it really spoke to me.

This isn’t the best written book but it’s very, very funny and I enjoyed reading it. Snuck into the humor are some very poignant observations about women and society.
