The Honey-Don't List was disappointing...
It's not that it was a bad book; it just wasn't a great book. The story was basically centered around a Chip-and-Joanna-Gaines-esque couple whose marriage was actually falling apart and it was our main characters' jobs to stop that from happening, or at the very least, keep the public from finding out. Which was fine, and could've been really interesting. However, I wasn't particularly attached to the characters, and I really didn't feel their chemistry or why they were attracted to each other apart from the fact that they were clearly the only options for each other. I was personally more interested and intrigued by the relationship dynamic going on between the married couple than our two main characters.
In terms of the actual plot, we had these weird police interviews throughout the book that would show up between chapters, so we knew that something bad was going to happen. I thought it was murder...the actual result was super anticlimactic and wrapped up way too neatly. In addition to that, the whole concept of a honey-do list was barely even touched upon; I wanted it to have a bigger connotation to the romance in some way.
So overall, not a bad book, still an enjoyable read, but not my favorite of Christina Lauren's rom-coms. It felt like with a little more time and effort, this could have been a better book.

Loved this one! Great characters, a really satisfying love story, and enough behind the scenes intrigue to freshen up the rom-com tropes. I really enjoyed it!!
