This book was a good distraction for a dumb day.

Cute and lighthearted romance novel. Liked the way it showed a story of a woman living with a physical disability but didn’t make it the central point of the book. Feels like it helps to normalize it :)
Love story was cute, if predictably predictable overall a nice low key vacation/weekend read

I inhaled this book. The police interview scenes interspersed throughout were so interesting to try and piece together what happened. And I loved the exploration of the unhealthy dynamic between Carey and Melly. James was adorable and I enjoyed their interactions.

The Honey-Don’t List was good. It was not my favorite of the duo, but I still had fun reading it. Christina Lauren’s characters & stories are so funny, quirky, overall great & lovable!

I loved the plot & the dynamic between Melly, Rusty & Carey. Their relationship was so complicated. I enjoyed reading about it and would have loved more of that, especially after the big fallout.

James & Carey’s relationship felt a little rushed to me. One chapter he had a crush on her and the next he was in love with her. They only were together for a few days. I was also hoping for a little more smut. I know not every CLo book can be like Beautiful Bastard, but even a little would’ve been fun.

With the way the investigation was looking, I thought one of the Tripps were murdered. I was kind of disappointed of the fallout, what happened after, and what happened with the Tripps. It felt a little underwhelming. I also really would have liked an epilogue to see where Carey is in 5 years.

Overall I did enjoy this book. The characters are always one of my favorite parts of a CLo book & these characters were great, crazy, but great. I can’t wait to read more of their books!

I love Christina Lauren! They’re my favorite author. I usually devour their books and love every minute. This one just wasn’t it for me. I couldn’t get into it and I found myself not really caring. I know this isn’t one of their newer books, so that could be why. I probably won’t reread it but I’m glad to have it off my TBR.

Cute, short, funny, but a bit formulaic. Also some of the conflicts resolved themselves rather easily/quickly. I still love the writing of this author, but this one isn't my favorite of hers.

This is one of those books that wasn't really what I was expecting. In fact, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the direction this was taking, until the next thing I know, my nose is buried in my kindle cause the drama became very fascinating.

What I wasn't expecting, was for this book to feel more about Melissa and Russel's drama, and less about Carey and James romance. Melissa and Russel were like a train wreck that you just can't stop watching and I gotta say, I was riveted to it all.

While Carey and James didn't really feel like a romance until almost the end, the authors still had me swooning all over them when it was all said and done. So all in all, I enjoyed it. It may not have been what I thought it was going to be, but the writing was fantastic and this author duo really knows how to capture your attention.
