Really solid start but I felt this really tapered off in a way towards the end. Found myself bored of the last few sequences.

It was just bad writing. Not talking about the gore or graphic sexual assault or body horror, we all know what we're getting into with extreme novels, ESPECIALLY Judith Sonnet. This was a poorly written and rushed project with absolutely no story whatsoever. It literally just made me feel like I was reading someone else's spank material.

Why do we need to sacrifice good and compelling story telling for the sake of an extreme novel? Judith had a really good, strong idea here and just went NOWHERE with it. I loved the themes that reminded me of Hellbound Heart/Hellraiser and felt that the lore and the world surrounding the manor could have been explored much more indepth.

If you have a boring day, you need a quick read to finish off your reading challenge and have a strong stomach then sure, have a read. But don't expect much more from this book then hardcore reading porn and some gore.

How to rate this??? This was creepy & so disgusting. I have never felt so sick while reading a story before. The author was successful in doing what they set out to do. Imagery - too good. Writing - very good. Ok, I wanted to be shocked & freaked out. I think I can rate it now lol

This one was disgusting… like I have no words… but I love it? What is wrong with me? I don’t know.

First the way she described the creature she created was really well made. The whole writing of this was on point.

It was scary at part with the ghost factor and demons stalking them… as much it was gaging factor and disturbing it’s was at least entertaining. So many thing happened it was insane no breaks at all…I love the historique of the house and his story to put you in year 2022… it’s hard to believe that this is a short book with all the detail that put in to it… Their à SA scene which I really don’t like but I swear it’s the least fuck up thing happening in this book… I mean Acid Cum…uhhh… melting flesh…

This book is so gross and I love it. The grotesque and horrifying images will live in my head rent-free. Judith Sonnet is great at writing filthy body horror. Anyone who is into extreme horror should definitely check this out.

I struggled to follow the storyline to this one, and it all felt a little bit here there and everywhere.
