If haunted houses are your thing, you need to pick up Magick! Judith Sonett hooked me from the very first page and delivered a chilling tale that took my love for haunted house stories to the next level. đź‘»
The story centers on a house steeped in a dark and twisted history—horrific murders and mysterious disappearances that left me utterly intrigued. Sonett expertly weaves these elements into a cohesive and satisfying narrative. Extreme horror can be a tricky genre, but Magick nails it by blending brutality with purpose and a strong storyline.
The pacing? Spot on! I flew through the pages, completely immersed. The characters were well-developed, their motivations layered and believable, adding depth to the story. And that reveal at the end? Absolutely brilliant—it tied everything together in a way that made me want to go back and reread certain parts to catch all the breadcrumbs Sonett left along the way. đź–¤
If you’re looking for a fast-paced, extreme horror novella that keeps you guessing and leaves you thinking, Magick is it. Don’t miss out on this one!

I'm sorry, but this was just too fast and way too much to be fun for me.

I enjoyed this more than No one rides for free, I liked the backstory of the house and the plot throughout.
It gave me X vibes, porn filmed in a questionable, scary place and bad shit happens.
This is obviously way more extreme. There was a lot of body horror and I liked the descriptions of the creatures that were in this.
