I always wanted to read Dani and Peyton’s story when I read All the love songs. So happy that their story is finally on paper. I loved this one. Not as much as All the love songs. But the chemistry was wow. The sex was hot (but they could have kissed sooner) There were a couple of scenes that I wanted on paper, that would have made there chemistry even better. Like the night they spent after the first kiss. And meeting Peyton’s family and spending the day at their house. I give it 4,7 stars. Also because Nicole sometimes writes ‘The woman’ instead of her or the name of the character. That makes it feel distant. Especially in a love making scene. For example
: Peyton was kissing the woman’s breast. Just say Dani’s breast or her breast!! But I love Hollywood/famous/rich people story’s.... I would not mind a short or so story about Dani and Peyton and Lennox and Kenzie.

I'm going to start off by saying that this may be a 5-star book. And I hope I'm not hurting the author too much by only giving it 4. But my reading of this deviated from my usual routine. Just when I would make this book my number-one reading priority, I decided to drop in an "emergency re-read" (a book club selection that the discussion got postponed a month, and I didn't trust I'd still remember it well enough to take part in the discussion if I didn't read it again); that re-read was in the same genre as this book. Which means, my brain has those two books jumbled together, as well as the other book in this series (which I previously read), which includes a few characters in common with this one.

What I can say is that I really enjoyed this book. I probably should read it again, given the holes in my memory. If I remembered it properly, I think I might have given it five stars. But… I think that 5-star reviews are meaningless if a reviewer gives that to every book they read. So I really try to save my 5-stars for the books I think are absolutely perfect. So I wouldn't read too much into me dropping it to 4, because that feels like more about my life over the past few days than my views of this book, but I can't tease the two apart enough to convince myself to give the top review. Mostly because I don't know what to tell you about the book (see the above two paragraphs of my life). But I'll stop here before I really embarrass myself!

This is a true love at first sight romance. If you read All The Love Songs then you will want to read how Peyton and Dani meet and fell in love. This very little angst in this story which is nice. You get to experience their first time having feelings for another woman. It is truly one of the best love stories. I love Nicole’s work. I hope we see more of the people from All The Love Songs.

I received this as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
