This one took me a bit longer to get through than the first book. But it was still just as good. Aaron has embraced his powers and is doing everything he can to stop Verchiel.

This book wasn't much better than the first volume. These books have an interesting view on the story and mythology of fallen angels, but other than that there isn't too much to be interested in. There is supposed to be a love interest, but I never developed an investment in their relationship. The plot is pretty much flat--there was no real spike in the action that made you want to keep reading. And overall, it was pretty predictable.

Would have given 2.5 stars. Too much 'fallenness', if you ask me. Not bad, though. Still an interesting and unusual topic and above-average writing.

This book was amazing! I loved it even more than the first one. I love the whole immortal/fallen angel series and this book didn't disapoint.

Aaron Corbet is still managing to get it angelic part of him under control but has to do it while basically saving the world from Verchiel, the head of the Powers, who is determind to eliminate any fallen angel that went against God's word and their offspring that shouldn't exist, Nephilim.
There's as much suspense as there is action. The only disappointing part is after this to book collection, that's it. No continuation.

With that said, it's a good read and I defintely recommend it.

I wasn't in love with this book. I liked the first book enough to go on to the second. Book 3 was OK but by the fourth book with the story having barely moved along, I lost interest.

Edited for grammar.
