This book wasn't much better than the first volume. These books have an interesting view on the story and mythology of fallen angels, but other than that there isn't too much to be interested in. There is supposed to be a love interest, but I never developed an investment in their relationship. The plot is pretty much flat--there was no real spike in the action that made you want to keep reading. And overall, it was pretty predictable.
