3 1/2 stars
Published in 2024 and encompassing current events, Storm Child is the 4th Haven book. I didn't feel lost having not read the previous 3, but, no-doubt, there are details about Cyrus and Haven's pasts that would have added to my reading of this story.
Having said that, Storm Haven, although somewhat predictable, is a fast-paced, well plotted thriller. Certainly well worth the $2 OpShop price I paid when I realised I had forgotten to pack a book for a short beach stay ( an almost unforgivable thing to do to myself

I enjoyed the fourth installment of the Cyrus Haven series! It was exciting to learn even more about Evie's past as she worked to uncover it herself as they tried to investigate the current case. I also thought the case addressing issues with of immigrants, migration, and human trafficking to be compelling.

DNF this one. Didn’t read any of the ones before, had this one from NetGalley for awhile unknowing that it was part of the series. After reading other reviews have realized I should read the others first. Just not into it very much.

Found it harder to get into the plot and remember all the characters, but the emotional payoff was worth it

Thank you Michael for another Evie and Cyrus adventure. I particularly appreciated Evie's flashbacks to her story. The ending was so touching. I really enjoyed this installment.
