Pre-read the book in preparation for giving it to my daughter. Easy to understand and hopefully she'll get a lot out of it.

Wanted to read this one before passing it onto my 8 year old. I found the book had a lot of great info that I remember being too afraid to ask my own Mom as a kid. Hoping this will help fill in the gaps that I may not think to cover.

Great book for 8-13 year old girls (especially ones who like American Girl stuff) about their bodies and how they change throughout puberty. Well written, very innocent (no sexuality is mentioned at all), and all pictures/diagrams are cartoons. I also love how they continually emphasize that every girl develops differently, at different times, and you should never compare yourself to anyone else - especially not anyone on TV! I'm impressed and looking forward to sharing this book with my daughter soon.

Used this as my puberty bible when I was growing up. Was a great place to privately learn more about my body and jump off to ask questions.

This is such a great, informative, body-positive book for any young girl and mama of a young girl. It covers information "head-to-toe" about their personal bodies and facilitates conversations as their bodies begin to change.
This book is not one for the "birds and the bees" talk, but it talks about everything from how to take care of your hair to prevent heat damage, skincare, healthy exercise and eating habits, puberty changes, negative effects of comparison, and having open lines of communication with your parents. It's an excellent resource to start talking with your daughter and educating her on big changes in a positive and beneficial way.

Taught me how to measure my bra size. Little did I know this would plague me the rest of my life due to the inconsistency in women’s sizing across the fashion industry. Don’t hold it against this book though. Still 5 stars.

My mom gave me this when I was 10 and glued all the pages about periods, vaginas, and breasts together so I couldn’t read/look at them (idk why?? Did she think I’d become queer? Sorry mom lmao I did). Any way this book probably taught me more about my body than anyone else at the time

This was an essential book when I was in middle school. Informative without being too explicit, perfectly age-appropriate.
