I really enjoyed to book. I believe it the last book in the Fire Maidens: Billionaires and Bodyguards series. While I love all the books in this series and have read them all. I will say this book can be read as a standalone but it is much better if you have read all the books before it.
This book takes place in Switzerland with the only nature born Fair Maiden. Because of this the main character Claudia has grown up in a very strict and protected lifestyle. Which of course she hates, so she is always look for a way to escape her bodyguard's. Which is where we meet Heath the sey bear shifter who is brought in as Claudia's newest bodyguard. These to have chemistry from the start.

Fabulous Conclusion
Rated 1-5 stars w/ 5 being the best
Overall: 5 Stars
Performance: 5 Stars
Story: 5 Stars
This was a fabulous conclusion to the series. I loved Claudia and Heath together. The sparks were awesome. I loved the breakfast where all the couples gathered. The conversation among the couples was hilarious at times.
Narration was on point as usual.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook. I also purchased the Kindle version.

A great wrap up for this series
I love that this series has mostly focused on the female Fire Maidens. Yes, their bodyguard mates have provided a lot of support but the understated strength, resilience and just a good caring heart make these women true heroines. Claudia is the only known Fire Maiden and that has been a blessing and a curse for her. She knows what is expected of her but she is also smothered by the protection her family insists on. Heath has felt abandoned and alone much of his life, his connection to his brothers of choice in the Foreign Legion has brought him to Switzerland for a job he never expected to turn into more.
The beauty of the Swiss mountains is brought to vivid life and Claudia’s love of her home and nature endears her to us even more. The romance and fated mate aspects are sensual but also a big part of the story. The overarching plot adds just enough action and is satisfyingly finished. And don’t forget the slice of life bonus scenes. A lovely read

Book 9 in Billionaire and Bodyguards series by Anna Lowe
I can’t tell you how gutted I am this series is finished. Kelsey Osborne does a fantastic job bringing these amazing books to life and I am just gutted it’s over.
Heath meets a sultry women in a restaurant and has a amazing night together but next morning she’s gone and when he goes to his first day on job he comes face to face with her and the lady he’s protecting Switzerland Fire maiden.
Claudia is a bit different then previous books because she was born a fire maiden and raised as such so comes from a wealthy family and had been taught to protect herself, which is why she hates her bodyguards.
I love that they struggle briefly about there attraction but soon they can hold back. I love the twist about Heaths shifter abilities and how amazingly this series is finished and wrapped up beautifully. Would love so short stories for the after the HEA like when they have children and such.
Definitely check out other series by this writer if you enjoyed this. Anna Lowe writes amazing shifter story’s and Kelsey Osborne beautifully narrators them all.

I had to read a book set in Switzerland and this seemed like the most fun option! I never fully figured out what a fire maiden is, but I assume that's on me for starting at book #9. Overall the worldbuilding was interesting, though, with some aspects that I've never seen in shifter romance before. Both the relationship storyline and the villain threat were interesting and had potential, but I wish had been fleshed out more. This book was too short to do everything it wanted! Which made both the relationship and the magical attack plot line feel pretty rushed.
Also I was a little annoyed by the constant "Character raised her eyebrows/tilted her head/made some small gesture as if to say Something in italics that for some reason isn't just dialogue but is usually way longer and more complex than something that can be conveyed with a slight adjustment in body language, also not to be confused with telepathic mind speech which is also italicized but IS dialogue." The author uses this A LOT and it was distracting lol

Series: Billionaires & Bodyguards #9
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
After a wonderful one night stand, bear shifter Heath Cauley heads to his new job as a bodyguard for a spoiled heiress. Instead he finds a stubborn and independent Fire Maiden, who is also the woman he spent the night with.
This book had some of my favorite tropes and I really enjoyed it. Heath was a protective bear shifter who never backed down from any of Claudia’s stunts. His history was heartbreaking but it made him into a great protector. Claudia is a stubborn and independent woman who hates the new security and restrictions on her life. I loved seeing these two fight their feelings for each other. The pinning and restraint was just soo good, especially once they gave into it.
The fight to protect the Fire Maidens finally ends with this book. Jaqueline makes another appearance and tries to destroy the peace. I enjoyed this final battle, especially since it introduced new kinds of villains in this world. Overall, this was a wonderful ending to this series and I really enjoyed Heath and Claudia.
