This was a fun short read and I appreciate the author’s afterwards section, haha! Really good set up and cast of diverse characters- I was glued to the page as the events unfolded. Not a book I want to reread but I could see it become a fun one to share during the holidays as a spooky horror story for the Holiday season!

2.75 stars. a quick, straight forward, gory christmas horror to pass the time. the writing was decent enough, and i actually laughed out loud at that afterword by the author (extra points for saving the dog i guess), but there's just nothing else to say? you can't really expect much. there's very little build up to the plot or insight into the characters other than basic facts about their backgrounds and personalities, although i do wanna compliment the eerily intelligent and human-portrayal of the visitor, but other than that? yeah, there's no beating around the bush, it almost immediately heads right into aliens and death. so if you're looking for that plus a really quick and short pace that won't take up much of your time, then this right here is a great book to put on a christmas tbr.

Loved the premise of this one, wasn’t anything extraordinary but was definitely worth a read! Fast action packed read with slasher B movie vibes!

A fast paced holiday alien slasher.

Despite being very juvenile in its writing style, this was a fun little read. I wanted more info on our Alien friend, as our human characters were lacking and hard to care about.

This was such an eerie Christmas horror story. I absolutely loved it! It reminds of Stranger Things and The Mist. 

This was a fast paced read with decent tension but it could have been a lot better. All of the POVs felt the same to me (even the dog!) and nothing really surprising happens. The writing style is pretty simple and uninteresting and there were a few obvious errors (misspelled or missing words).
