Bad Taste leaves surprisingly little room for nuance throughout its pages. The author gives the working class no agency whatsoever, erases anything that doesn't complement her world view and frequently goes in to unnecessary tangents including recounting the entire plots of several books and films. The audiobook makes the material even less palatable as its narrator feels somewhat snarky, and feels the need to do a terrible caricature of an American accent whenever the book includes a quote from a famous American. Bad Taste didn't tell me anything that someone vaguely politically engaged wouldn't have observed, and had very active gaps in its viewpoint

Topic was interesting and thought-provoking but for 220 pages it felt quite laborious to concentrate…
