Thought this was quite weak. This is definitely more of a book about class than taste (although the two concepts definitely overlap) and would have been much better with a tighter focus. Olah has a real chip on her shoulder about class and privilege, understandably perhaps, but the book often feels like more of a ranty diatribe than a thoughtful examination of the themes - not helped by the audiobook narrator coming across as quite sneery in her performance. Olah also writes quite broadly and makes bold statements with little to no evidence to back it up, with her examples being quite focused on a certain strata and social group. Disappointing and not really that illuminating, surprised by all the positive reviews in the press.
