In the sixth volume of the Stephanie Plum series, our heroine finds herself in deep bounty hunter trouble. With 3 FTAs to go after, only one of whom is a homicidal maniac, she has to harden her sensibilities enough to bring in the bad guys, even if it means shooting someone (in the foot) or dragging someone out of the shower. Stephanie finally realizes that she has to rely on her instincts, which are often right. She is still somewhat bumbling, but her diligence in following up on clues that lead her in circles sees her figuring out the truth.
The one monkey wrench in this book is that Ranger, Stephanie's mentor in the bounty hunter business, is one of the people that She is asked to bring in. Since she knows she has no hope of bringing Ranger in, Stephanie wisely declines the job and gets to watch her nemesis Joyce flail around as she tries the impossible.

When I read this series, I didn’t think I could possibly love it anymore…I was wrong. I’m currently listening to each on audiobook and oh my gosh, it is even better! C J Critt is an AMAZING narrator. The voices

Stephanie Plum, at it again, killing cars, but getting a little bit better at her job?

Definitely fun! Not high art, but a trashy good time. Sometimes I'm embarrassed by how much I love this series. They are definitely a guilty pleasure. I picked it up with no expectations and like most of Evanovich's books found this to be the best approach. If all you are looking for is a fast paced, raunchy and fluffy read this is definitely a good series to pick up.

Okay, somebody tell me, why book 6 of the series, which has six in the name, is translated as five for four in Bulgarian. I read the Bulgarian edition and am now out of order. Confusing.
Apart from that tiny problem, the book was funny. The mystery was mild but the lols were real. We've got another 3-4 supporting male characters that were not translucent. Stephanie did not hunt for anyone this time but somehow managed to get more hair and car problems.
