Couldn't get to even the halfway point. The ideas presented were just too black and white for me. I had hoped for nuance.

This book would have been so helpful to me as a child or young adult, but by the time I got to it, I have had years of therapy and online quizzes and other experiences that have already pretty fully explained my strong introversion and highly sensitive personality to myself. I also think that in the years following this book’s release, more and more adults (especially those cultured to be women), are realizing that labels like autism and/or adhd also fit them, and that masking isn’t just for introverts living in a world that celebrates and rewards extroverts. This book is a good place to start.

Quiet is a very interesting read about introverts. There are parts, however, which would pertain to both introverts and extroverts. How we access our creativity or genius, is one area. It was also interesting to see how to best interact with and teach introverts. This made for a great book club book.

It helps to know that "introverted" is not an inferior condition. yay me!

My first (real) nonfiction book since I was a child. Certain parts required me to power through because they were a bit boring but overall, Quiet was extremely interesting. I think everyone (introverts and extroverts alike) should read it to get a better understanding of how people think differently and how we could improve if we take on a different mindset for different things.

Key message: stop worrying shoot the way you think you should live your life and live the way that feels right.

Re-reading this one since my book club chose it for next month's discussion. It's a really good book so I'm looking forward to an interesting discussion of it as well.
