Kind of a page turner. I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't fully love this, but I did enjoy it. I will admit that as Gen X, I'm probably not the target audience. Compelling mystery with Lots of red herrings and possible endings.

If I was just rating the production of the audiobook, it would be a solid 5 stars. The voice actors and producers did a phenomenal job and I think it’s this novel’s saving grace. The story on its own is not that good. Most of the characters (with the exception of Grandma Beverly who is 10/10 fantastic) are insufferable and there aren’t really any twists besides literally everyone hooking up with everyone else. Affairs as a “twist” in a book is just sloppy writing to me. It’s not interesting and it was honestly just so annoying how that kept popping up. I feel this should have spent longer in the editing stage before it was released.

BRILLIANT. I loved this!! Lucy is hilarious and so entertaining, the storyline kept me page turning at 100km/h. Up there with one of the best books I’ve read this year.

A very fun and well-paced mystery. True crime podcasts are probably my biggest guilty pleasure, so it was fun to listen to a fictionalized version of one on audio. I didn’t guess the ending and was invested the whole time!

loved this! a funny thriller is not what i expected but i really appreciated the wittiness of the characters in this. loved the trade off between Lucy’s perspective and the podcast—this was really great especially as an audiobook.

thought the mystery was intriguing and held my curiosity throughout the book. removed one star because i thought the end was a little abrupt and would’ve liked a little more! but overall this was a great read.
