Not my typical genre but an enjoyable read. I didn’t love the reveal at the end though.

This book was so easy to love! It’s a quick read with plenty of twists, red herrings and cliffhangers.

Everyone thinks that Lucy killed her best friend, Savvy.  One night she is found wandering the streets, covered in Savvy's blood.  Years later, Lucy has left their small Texas town for the big city anonymity of Los Angeles when she hears about a new, mega-popular true crime podcast, "Listen for the Lie".  Its host, Ben Owens, has decided to investigate Savvy's murder for the podcast's second season.  Breaking her vow to never go back, Lucy decides to return home and get to the truth after all.

Lucy isn't necessarily *likeable* as a character, but I was truly invested in finding out what had happened to her and Savvy the night of the murder. I fluctuated between whether or not Ben could truly be hosted, and wasn't quite sure until the end if Lucy herself is a reliable narrator. With plenty of twists and turns, and a fair amount of action, I give this a solid 4☆
