Still loving everything about this series. Which is a miracle for me.
Love that we got the guys’ POVs in this book, and I’m hoping that continues into the next.
I’m also crossing my fingers and hoping that everything gets fixed by the end of this last book or I’m gonna be so so disappointed…
Ugh. That cliffhanger was gut wrenching.

Similar to the first book, I found this one really enjoyable. The separation trope can get a little redundant but I get that the perspective from enemy lines was necessary to truly understand what future the FMC was attempting to escape or be doomed to. I really appreciated that her keeper finally woke up and was able to be a true companion. And the pain from her binding and losing such a huge part of herself and her ability to connect with the guys… ugh! My heart! Biggest complaint, as noted with the first is that the book, is that it’s a bit drawn out. I don’t mind lengthy books but the pacing just crawls in some parts. It’s like being in a static state of anticipation but you know the author could put you out of your misery sooner. That aside, I’m still on the edge of my seat and I’m going to dive straight into the final book.
Overall: 4.4/5 - For such a traumatic series with very little relief, it’s a bit slow and painful. Still love the story and the characters and can’t wait to see the finale, but crossing my fingers it paces just a tad quicker.

Wow this book was awesome! I mean don’t get me wrong how safiya was treated and made to love malum, in his wildest dreams. Safiya will always choose her men no matter what or who is making her miserable. The cliff hanger has me wanting so much more, I can’t wait to see what happens with safiya and her lorem in the final book

We pick up directly after book one left off. After the cliff hanger we got in the first book I was anxious to jump back in and Sinclair didn't disappoint. Once again I was drawn into this world where kalo rule and inert are forced to serve.
I love seeing Safiya's continued growth in this, even though it wasn't all positive. Her strength was definitely tested as she waited for the Lorem but she certainly held her own.
As always I loved Safiya and her men's relationships and love how Sinclair is able to develop them each at their own pace.
Now I have some issues with the ending because....NOOOOO. I know it can't be easy but these cliffhangers are destroying me. I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3!

Safiya and the Lorem are still fighting the Khasar in this book. Saf has been taken and this book continues her journey to get her freedom. This book showed us more sbout the Khasar and continued to build upon the world we've come to love in this series. It definitely ended on a cliffhanger and need book 3!

Baby it’s not you it’s me…This book felt very fillery and nearly sucked the life out of me. The ending was also a little flat, idk why but this just didn’t hit as much as the first. I might just be having a bad day

I loved the first book in this series and couldn't wait to read this one. Book two follows straight on from the first, with Safiya now trapped as a powerful man's possession. The men she loves were reluctantly on the run, trying to come up with a plan to save her that wouldn't get them all killed.
This book was a bit of an emotional ride, as Safiya struggles with her new life, while never giving up hope that she'll one day be free. What she goes through is awful and sad, and I really felt for her. She was strong though, and I loved her small acts of defiance, despite the anger and punishments she knew it would bring.
The ending was surprising, and I need book three now. I have no idea what will happen next!
