unnecessary details
This books has a lot of unnecessary details. It also says it’s a dark romance but it’s hardly dark and there isn’t any smut until a little over half way through the book. The portail of Adam being a psycho kinda reminds me of a clown ngl. However, his group of friends are cool and honestly are more well rounded and kinda better developed in my opinion. Also Olivia’s friends kinda suck

After reading the rebels of sandland series and loving it so much I was so excited to read this.
I will start off with the slight negative which was that as we know, Adam is a psycho. But I didn't like how he constantly talked about it, saying over and over again how he's a psycho and how he has a psycho smile. I prefer to just be shown.
The other thing being that I found some of the other soldiers were justifying themselves a lot, like between each other they were trying to prove that everyone could trust them but they were a group, they'd done it hundreds of times before so i just feel like their loyalty and hard work shouldn't have even been in question.
Now on a more positive note, as always I did love Nikki's writing style, the fact it was told in dual perspective, I loved Adam and the rest of the soldiers (when he wasn't going on about how psycho he was of course haha) I loved Liv and I'm so glad she found her soulmate after having to watch her best friends fall in love.
I loved the banter between the two characters and the back and forth. As we all know I love a chase. It was nice to see Liv's family dynamic too, how close she is to her brothers and how she practically raises them.
I'm looking forward to carrying on with this new series.

This started off great for a dark romance, with characters that seemed like they were on the wrong side of Gotham.
Unfortunately, it devolved from there into a sappy, sort-of rom-com and an extremely clichéd one at that *sigh*

This book was so amazing, the build up for Olivia and Adam was honestly fantastic and gripping, I wish there was a little more to the ending though, it felt a little rushed but I still loved it and can’t wait to read the next novel!

This book was all over the place! I mean, half the book nothing happens then they love each other!? This book felt trying to hard to be likeable, it took to many cliches, I felt like words, actions, and situations we love in other books were trying to be combine in one book that ended being a mess! He is no psycho and there is no real chemistry between Adam and Olivia!! I’m sorry , I respect the author and her work! It just my opinion maybe I had to many expectations, never felt like it was dark romance.

Lo ameeee, un hombre que derrumbaría el mundo por ti… I’m here for it pero me hubiera encantado ver más el desarrollo de su relación
