This is Callan and Merinus' story, and it was steamy, the genetically created experiment that becae Callan as part man and part lion was an interesting and original idea, the story has a nice interesting plot going into more books in the series, they are kind of interlinked, yet you can read them as a standalone as well. This is the first in the Breeds series and if you want a hot steamy pnr, start reading this.

I gave up after the fifth time that part of the female anatomy was described as either "weeping" or having "wept." Ugh. It didn't matter that it was a mildly interesting story, there is nothing less sexy than well...that.

Pretty good read. I've read this series out of order and I'm glad I did. This was a good read but I'm not sure it would have hooked me as deep as the others have.

It's also pretty short. It took me about 4 hours to finish the whole thing.
