I recommended this series to a friend of mine before I read them. She was looking for erotica with a plot and I had read some good reviews about the Breeds series; after recommending them I figured I should probably read some to make sure I didn't lead her astry. Turns out I was right, these books are rife with explict and sensual erotica but there is a plot there, I swear!

I’ve read this series before and remember liking it, but could’n exactly explain the story or plots, so decided to try again and gave it another chance with the audio version. This was not the best audio for me, I think there was too much sex to listen and it didn’t help, but I loved the book. Just discovered that erotica and audio don’t mix right in my brain. There’s always other books for that.

The couple was okay, but I liked Merinus better. Still don’t know where her name came from, but she’s strong and very firm. I liked the way she handled things and never gave up. Callam was the best alpha male, he had a hard time understand the mating and saving everyone at the same time. But he’s very possessive. And I loved the ending. There’s not much of the back story, but we can understand that some humans decided to mix DNA of animals with some human DNA. Callam and the rest of the Pride are these different shifters.

The story could be intetesting, but as it is, it feels more like an elaborate setup for as much sex as possible. It gets boring after a while, as if it was the same scene over and over.

The story ended rather apruptly - I know there are sequels, but it feels as if there is something missing at the end.

The epilogue feels disconnected from the rest of the story

Wow, this book is definitely erotica but there is an interesting plot as well. I liked the characters and am looking forward to reading more (if I can find them!)

It nearly made it!

But then the feminism line a character said was the final nail, i fear ...

As usual Lora Leigh is brilliant! This book was damn hot! Filled to the brim and then some with steamy lust, and hard core passion! Amazing start to a series!!
